Update 3-October 9, 2008

Robert had a decent night. He was very restless, seeing the are slowly reducing meds he is becoming very aware! If you turn on a light or make a noise he's looking to see what's going on. My dad needs complete dark and silence to sleep so I know he's coming back!

He's blood oxygen has increased, therefore they will take him off of the ballon machine today. He's lungs have cleared up and there is no more internal bleeding. He is able to squeeze your hand with his left hand, but his right side is still stiff. They had to strap his legs back down last night because he's becoming very figity. I'm sure there is more, but last night was a good night.

We still have a long way to go, so please keep praying. Please keep sending your encouraging words and prayers. It's crazy ho many emails we've received and we're trying to do our best to get through them all! Please keep forwarding these updates because I'm afraid there are still people I've not been able to add.

Plenty of you keep asking what you can do. For now, keep praying! That's what Robert needs most. He's not used to being taken care of and I'm sure that's what's going to be the most difficult for him; being forced to lay there against his strong-will.

There's more good news to come! God is good all the time!

God Bless and love,
The Ricks Family
